​Nikon 1 J3 14.2 MP Digital Camera - White (Kit w/ VR 10-30mm Lens) 

This digital camera kit includes both the Nikon 1 J3 14.2 MP Digital Camera and the VR 1030mm Zoom Lens. Together, these two allow you to shoot everything from portraits to wide angle scenes. 

The VR 10-30 Nikkor Zoom features Nikon's Vibration Reduction Image Stabilization Technology. Aspherical (non-spherical) elements assure movies and photos are clear by eliminating possible aberrations. 

The 1 J3 is compatible with a wide selection of other 1 Nikkor lenses in addition to the VR1030mm lens. Settings on this camera are equivalent to ISO 35 mm film speeds from 160 to 6400. It's a versatile camera designed to perform well under a range of photographic conditions.

With an effective resolution of 14.2 MP, the Nikon 1 J3 produces images measuring up to 4,608p x 3,072p. With this high level of image quality, you can order large, poster size prints you will be proud to frame. Hang them in your own home, give them as gifts, or, maybe, offer them for sale. 

The 1 J3 not only captures still images at the normal 3:2 aspect ratio but also captures normal and wide panorama shots. Take your panorama shot with a vertical pan for New York skyscrapers or California red woods. Use a horizontal pan for landscapes and city skylines. 

This Nikon also captures high definition movies with built-in stereo sound. If, while you are filming, you see a great still shot, you can capture it while continuing to film. You can also use the camera's LCD screen to put high speed live action into slow motion to make it easier to capture the perfect photograph. 

Motion Snapshot combines movies, still shots, and sound that can be arranged into a slideshow or captured as a MOV file. With Best Moment Capture, this Nikon shoots 20 continuous frames per second, and then selects the best five images out of the 20. It’s almost impossible to miss the perfect photograph. In fact, with the WP-N2 waterproof housing, you can even take the Nikon 1 J3 underwater, down to 130 feet or 40 meters. 

Movies are captured as MOV files with the audio saved as an ACC file. For still photography, use JPEG to capture high speed action or to save space. Use RAW (NEF) to preserve detail in images that you want to open for editing and then re-save. 
Metering choices for still photography and movies include matrix, center-weighted, and spot. Exposure can be set manually or set automatically to give priority to the aperture or shutter. 

Preset scene modes include Portrait, Night Portrait, Landscape, Night Landscape, and Close-up. Autofocus gives priority to faces and can be set to track the subject. White balance can be preset manually. A preset underwater white balance setting also is included. Flash settings include fill, red-eye, and rear curtain, all with a slow sync option.  

Files are stored on SD, SDHC, and SDXC memory cards. Connect your 1 J3 to your computer or television via the USB or HDMI port. The camera is powered by an EN-EL20 Lithium-ion battery and comes with an EH-5b AC Adapter. It requires an EP-5C Power Supply Connector. The body has a built-in 1/4" tripod mount. It measures 4.0" x 2.4" x 1.1" (101 mm x 60.5 mm x 28.8 mm) and weighs 7.1 ounces (201 g).
