📝 Basic level: Survey Design with AI-Assisted Analysis of Results
This basic level service is for clients on limited budgets or who handle their own content strategy and marketing but who aren't familiar with best practices for writing survey questions or who prefer to delegate the analysis.
Surveys offer insights into the interests, desires, hopes, aspirations, concerns, worries, and fears of your business's clients or prospective clients. The survey can focus any area of your business:
- Targeting content specifically to your desired prospects
- Founding a new business
- Introducing a new service or product
- Creating new marketing approaches
- Implementing changes to ongoing marketing efforts
- Changing current policies
- Establishing new policies
- Selecting the best channels for reaching clients or prospects (i.e. specific podcasts or social media channels, specific blogs, online or print newspapers or magazines, or streaming or broadcast media such as Netflix, Sirius, AM/FM radio, television, or cable channels.)
The most informative customer surveys are carefully and properly worded and formatted to avoid leading the answers of respondents. They also properly alternate open-ended and multiple-choice questions with items for respondents to rank on how much they agree and disagree.
You may know your client's or customer's demographics such as their age range, level of education, income level, and so on. That information is useful, but it's generic and lacking in insight into your clients or customers as real living, breathing people.
Knowing your clients or customers as well as you know your family members and closest friends helps you to think of them as real individuals with families and day-to-day concerns. The better you know your customers, the better you understand what motivates the emotions behind their decisions to buy your products or services.
You may discover that your customers don't fall into a single category. They may fall into two or more market segments, each with differing needs that are best served with different marketing messages and channels.
With my knowledge of psychology and communication and my experience as a consumer, retail sales person, and store manager, I have firsthand insights into the questions that will produce the information you seek.
Depending on how much information you have gathered previously, you may need an extensive survey, or a short, targeted one. Standard copywriting fees for survey questions range from $500 to $1,000 without analysis of the results.
🛑 For fixed-price contracts, half of the payment is due in advance with the remainder due upon completion of the work. If the contract is canceled for any reason after work has begun, the initial advance payment will be treated as a non-refundable deposit known as a kill fee.
Schedule a discovery call to discuss your survey and the information you seek to learn about your customers or clients and what you want to accomplish with the information you seek.
